About us
Protect and revitalise Reo Māori
Te Pūara Api‘i Pōtiki is a total immersion early childhood centre for tamariki from birth to five, grounded in the Cook Islands Early Childhood Education Curriculum.
Our programme places Reo Kūki ‘Āirani, peu Kūki ‘Āirani, and strong relationships at the centre of learning. Tamariki learn through play, daily language use, and meaningful connections with families and community, supporting wellbeing, identity, and early development.

TAMARIKI NUI
Our programmes offer full immersion learning for tamariki from birth to five, grounded in Reo Kūki ‘Āirani, culture, and relationships.

Why this matters
Early childhood is the most important stage for language development. Without daily immersion from birth, Reo Kūki ‘Āirani risks further decline across generations. Te Pūara Api‘i Pōtiki provides a foundation where language, identity, and cultural knowledge are formed early and sustained long term.
